How about The Abyss? Two resurrections in that one. The lead female (Lindsey) allows herself to be drowned because there is only one oxygen mask. Ed Harris (Virgil) then brings here back to life presumably because the water was so cold that it preserved her. Then Virgil must go into the abyss and you are lead to believe that he passes out and is dead only to be brought back to life by the alien life forms found in the deepest recesses of the ocean. The Abyss is one of James Cameron's better films but be very wary of the directors cut. It is far too long and it's focus is on the alien angle. I always advise that the last five minutes of the theatrical version should be skipped and the last 20 minutes of directors cut should be avoided.
Thanks. I've only caught bits of that one on TV. Must be some friendly aliens -- quite the change from Cameron's previous work on Aliens.
I added the lame Jodie Foster flick Contact. There have to be more sci-fi movies I've missed.
